Sidhe with Fish - Collage 46" H x 30"W.
My latest work explores how medical science interprets the body. I am fascinated by the hidden regions and ghostly tracings revealed through scans. Family mammograms, PET scans and ultrasounds form a collection of hands, lungs and teeth in my studio. Removed from their bodily context, these images appear isolated and vulnerable, transforming organs from poetic symbols into shadowy strangers that suggest sickness or health. Through my work, I seek to reclaim their mystery and restore their alchemical wonder.
